Welcome to the Information Literacy Assessment (ILA) Program!

Ready to dive into the ILA Program?

We've put together a course perfect for you, whether you're fresh out of high school, a transfer student, a graduate student, or just eager to learn something new. The ILA Program is tailored to give you a well-rounded experience in ten brief modules with videos and quizzes.

Here's the game plan 🎯:

SPIL_Q: Here is where you share with us your level of comfort with the topics before you dive into the program.

Pre-test: Before anything else, we'll see where you're at. This helps determine what you already know and where you might want to focus, as well as how we can help you in the future. To complete the 84 questions, it should take about 30 minutes.
10 Cool Modules: We've got ten modules, each diving into its own topic with videos. You will learn to develop a topic, find resources for your course assignment, develop a writing style, evaluate sources, build an argument, and learn your writing voice. Each module should take you, on average, 30 minutes. The modules are self-paced, so that they might take less or more time, depending on your learning style.
Quizzes: After each module, there's a quiz. Don't sweat it! This is to help you remember the good stuff and see where you're shining. 

Note: To progress to the next module, a minimum score of 80% or higher is required. You can take the modules however many times you want. If you need assistance please contact the library director at gethelp@gbc.libanswers.com

Post-test: After you are done, we have a final test to show you how far you've come. It's like a before-and-after snapshot of your knowledge.

2. Easy Access Guide 🚪: Wondering how to dive in? Click on the tab right next to "Outline of the ILA Program" - it's called "Directions to Access the ILA Program"! It's your key to kickstarting the fun.

3. Dive Right In 🏊‍♂️: Once you're all set, launch your learning with the SPIl_Q. We're so excited to see where this takes you!
